Apache ODE 1.3.6 is out

With this post, I’d like to draw some attention to the 1.3.6 release of Apache ODE which was made public two weeks ago. You can get the new version of the engine here. Apache ODE is probably the most widely distributed open source BPEL engine out there and is used in various middleware stacks and ESBs, such as WSO2 BPS. This is the first new release of ODE since two years and contains various improvements and bug fixes.

I am particularly interested in it, because our betsy project played a not-so-unimportant role in this new release. It helped the ODE developers to uncover and fix several bugs in the BPEL 2.0 support of the engine. Once again, I am proud that we have made practical impact and helped to improve the code in other open source projects. Of course, the new version of ODE is already supported by betsy. We performed a complete benchmark and can confirm that various features that used to be problematic in ODE 1.3.5, such as terminationHandlers, now do work as expected. Keep up the good work, @ApacheODE!
